Our deployable field hospitals are stored in space-efficient and reusable containers for easy transport to any location in the world. BLU-MED mobile field hospitals offer a drastic saving in logistics and transportation costs compared to medical trailers and expandable medical containers.
For comparison, a single reusable container from BLU-MED (dimensions: 102” long x 41” wide x 49” tall) holds an entire 20’ wide x 32.5’ long BLU-MED medical shelter with 650 square feet of usable floor space. A single 3-to-1 expandable medical container (dimensions: 20’ long x 8’ wide x 9.5’ tall – high-cube container) when expanded provides approximately 375 square feet of floor space.
A single 40-foot trailer can deliver a 12-shelter or 9,000 square-foot BLU-MED medical facility versus two expandable hospital containers (750 square feet).
BLU-MED medical facilities and deployable field hospitals are transported by aircraft, boat, rail, and trucks. BLU-MED also makes carry bags for transport in any vehicle. Each bag is designed for a one- to two-person carry. Bag weight can be tailored to meet your transport needs.
